COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Global Humanitarian Institute is pleased to offer the Diploma in Humanitarian and Development Studies, a comprehensive programme delivered through Online and Distance Learning. The course begins on the 1st of every month, allowing participants the flexibility to study from anywhere in the world while balancing their professional and personal commitments.
Course Overview
Humanitarian crises, natural disasters, conflicts, poverty, displacement, and public health emergencies continue to pose significant challenges to communities across the globe. Addressing these challenges requires professionals who possess both humanitarian knowledge and development skills to support affected populations and promote sustainable social and economic progress.
The Diploma in Humanitarian and Development Studies is designed to equip learners with the knowledge, practical skills, and professional competencies needed to effectively engage in humanitarian action and development initiatives. The programme explores the interconnected nature of emergency response, recovery, resilience building, and sustainable development, enabling participants to understand how short-term interventions can contribute to long-term community transformation.

There are four assignments (continuous assessment tests), research paper and one examination to be offered at the end of the course. Assignments account for 40%, research paper counts for 30% while Examination accounts for 30% of the mark. Upon completion of the course you shall be issued with a Diploma Certificate and a course transcript.
Certificate and Transcripts will be sent after successful completion of the course.
