Program Details
Course Outline: Diploma in AI for M&E
Duration: 6 months (part‑time, 10–15 hours/week)
Format: Online via ATI platform, with optional Nairobi workshops
Accessibility: No prior coding experience required—uses no‑code/low‑code tools
Module 1: Foundations of AI in M&E (Weeks 1–4)
• Introduction to AI concepts and terminology
• Evolution of M&E in the digital era
• Overview of no‑code/low‑code AI platforms
• Case studies: AI adoption in African development projects
Module 2: AI‑Enabled Data Collection & Management (Weeks 5–8)
• Mobile survey tools and AI‑powered data entry
• Data cleaning, validation, and integration with M&E systems
• Using AI for real‑time monitoring in health, agriculture, and climate projects
• Practical lab: Setting up automated data pipelines
Module 3: Data Analysis & Visualization (Weeks 9–12)
• Automated dashboards and reporting tools
• Natural Language Processing (NLP) for qualitative data analysis
• AI‑driven visualization for decision‑making
• Practical lab: Building interactive dashboards with no‑code tools
Module 4: Predictive Modeling & Forecasting (Weeks 13–16)
• Basics of machine learning for non‑coders
• Predictive analytics for project outcomes
• Scenario planning and resource allocation using AI models
• Case studies: Forecasting in agriculture yields, health interventions, and climate resilience
Module 5: Ethics, Governance & Responsible AI (Weeks 17–20)

Module 6: Applied Project & Capstone (Weeks 21–24)

There are four assignments (continuous assessment tests), research paper and one examination to be offered at the end of the course. Assignments account for 40%, research paper accounts for 30% while Examination accounts for 30% of the mark. Upon completion of the course you shall be issued with a Diploma Certificate and a course transcript.
Examination Certificate and Transcripts will be sent after successful completion of the course.
DURATION AND COURSE LOAD: 24 Weeks – 5 to 6 hours per week DATES: (Six Months) Course Starts 1st of Every Month.
